Keenan Austin Reed, Principal, The Alpine Group

Austin Reed last spoke about campaign managment at WeLead2019. She joined The Alpine Group consulting firm in January 2021 after serving for almost three years as Chief of Staff to Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-4). Before that she served as the Statewide Political Director in the largest political background state in the country, Florida, for the Hillary for America campaign. In this role, she was responsible for all federal, state, and local elected relationships within state on behalf of the campaign and also managed the organization's largest political staff. Previously, she served as Chief of Staff to Councilmember David Grosso of the Council of the District of Columbia.

Prior to that, Austin Reed served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, managing a portfolio including political outreach, stakeholder engagement, constituent services, and legislation. Recognized for her leadership on progressive issues, Austin Reed is an alum of the New Leaders Council and the Stennis Emerging Congressional Leaders fellowship. In 2010, she managed the Congresswoman Wilson's first election to Congress. A proud Rattler, Austin Reed earned a MBA and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. She serves on the Board of GlobalWIN and the Women's Congressional Policy Institute and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
