Erica Balanc is the language specialist for the LL.M. students at AUWCL. As such, she meets with students who are non-native speakers of English to discuss issues encountered when writing in an American academic setting. She helps the students with organization, format, grammar, paragraph structure, citing, planning and drafting a research paper, and other questions that arise throughout the semester.
Erica previously worked at the Washington Post, and received her Bachelor's in English from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where she was a writing tutor for undergraduate students. She is currently studying French.
To set up an appointment, e-mail Erica directly at balanc@wcl.american.edu.
