You can take a mix of summer-term long courses (like the doctrinal courses) and short institute courses. Keep in mind that if you intend to apply for federal financial aid living expense funds, allocation is determined by the dates of your classes, including one additional week for finals, and capped at ten weeks with a two week minimum requirement. If you are interested in summer short courses, please consider the possibility of writing a paper as your final evaluation to comply with financial aid requirements. All short courses include an additional week for finals.
