A unique aspect of the Trial Advocacy Program course curriculum is the classroom contribution of a professional actor. Paul Morella has performed professionally in regional theatre, film, and television for over 35 years. He has been a member of the Program's adjunct faculty for more than ten years.
Mr. Morella provides instruction to all of the civil and criminal trial advocacy classes on techniques and philosophies to improve communication and persuasion skills. He discusses and demonstrates for students the effective use of body language, movement, vocal modulation, pace, rhetoric, story-telling, upward and downward voice inflections, and the power of silence. He observes and critiques each student's presentation of an opening, closing, or witness examination.
