Please go to main campus, Anderson Hall, Housing and Dining to have your picture taken and receive your ID card. Pictures can also be submitted online:

1. Log onto the my.american.edu portal with your user id and password
2. Click on the Life@AU link on the right hand column of the portal
3. Click on the ID Card Information link
4. Attach .JPEG or .JPG picture file and follow the instructions for online picture submission

Pictures must meet the following criteria:

• The subject is face front
• Clear resolution
• Not digitally enhanced
• No hats or sunglasses
• No red eye

After receiving your ID card from main campus, please visit the facilities office, room 383, to have your card coded to gain access to the building.
