In this collaboration between Dr. Pietroszek, Institute for IDEAS and Dr. Shapiro, Department of Psychology and Computer Science, we use the artificial reality continuum to explore the application of spherical harmonics to the creation of optical illusions in three and four dimensions. The project’s intention is to push our understanding of human perception and the way our brain builds the model of reality.
