Office of International Programs 4400 Massachusetts Avenue NW Washington, DC 20016 United StatesSplit your academic experience between two countries while earning two master’s degrees in just two years. This one-of-a-kind dual degree program allows students to earn one degree from SIS and another degree from a renowned partner university. Students gain the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to excel in careers in both countries.
Discover Dual DegreesEarn AU credit from anywhere in the world. With more than a dozen partner universities to choose from, students spend a semester studying at and fully integrated in the campus life at another university while earning credit for their SIS degree. Students find that semester abroad programs complement, deepen, and enrich their SIS coursework.
Spend a Semester AbroadEach summer, OIP organizes multiple short-term, experiential programs and internships abroad that change annually to reflect specific needs and interests of SIS students. Programs are led by SIS faculty or hosted by partner institutions in which SIS students enroll, and are ideal for students interested in a specific region or topic area and wish to interact with local leaders, conduct field research, or pursue a challenging internship.
Explore Summers AbroadRegister internships, research projects, conferences, or any other academic work abroad—either credit or non-credit bearing—that you’ve arranged outside of SIS OIP programming to obtain approval for the desired activity, course registration, and to be covered by the mandatory international travel insurance.
